Compugen Opens New, Expanded Western Hub in Calgary

Compugen Inc. is proud to announce the opening of its new, expanded Western Hub on 29th Street N.E. in Calgary, including state-of-the-art configuration and warehouse facilities. The new location, close to the Calgary International Airport, supports sales, services and related logistics for customers in the Western and northern parts of Canada.

The facility is designed to improve customer services in a host of ways, including offering advanced reliability of service supported by an ISO-9001 quality management system (to be certified in 2019), locally provisioned and supported deployment teams to meet regional customers’ new system installation requirements, local stocking of inventory for those requiring just-in-time delivery of key components, local service parts inventory for critical systems, 24-7 service dispatch, local service desk with live-agent support within Western Canada, local sales teams, local professional services, and full local implementation of Green4Good® asset refurbishment.

The new 14,000 square-foot facility includes office space, configuration centre and warehouse.
The office space includes meeting rooms, open-pod seating, a collaboration space with digital whiteboarding and video-conferencing capabilities, and a call centre with flexible capacity for up to 18 simultaneous staff supported by Cisco Call Manager. The call centre will support managed services customers regionally as well as acting as an overload site for our other call centres in Richmond Hill and Montreal.

The new warehouse and configuration centre are staffed by dedicated operations support teams, including experts in materials handling, equipment configuration, logistics support, inventory control, ISO quality management processes and asset refurbishment.

The secure warehouse includes storage, material handling, an extensive service parts hub to satisfy local requirements and replenishment of western region remote locations, and logistics support for receipt and shipment of equipment destined for refurbishment and reuse.

The configuration center is provisioned with multiple workbenches to handle customer-defined configuration requirements for both new and end-of-first-life ™ IT equipment—which is refurbished for reuse through the innovative Green4Good program. It operates a dedicated and isolated fiber-based production network, facilities for asset tagging, printing and design, a depot repair center and an isolated clean room.
